Through the federal appropriations process, the AGS advocates on behalf of institutions that stand at the forefront of the nation’s research and training efforts related to older adult well-being.
Our Position
To ensure that older Americans can continue to make meaningful contributions to our communities, we need more research and research scientists focused on healthy aging; the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of age-related health concerns; and the cost-effectiveness of various approaches to care. We also must work to ensure that older adults are adequately represented in research trials.
