Opportunity Description:
The 2025 Network for Investigation of Delirium: Unifying Scientists Boot Camp will be led by a faculty of more than 15 experience delirium researchers, who collectively, have expertise in everything from animal models, biomarkers, epidemiology, clinical trials, implementation science, delirium assessment and statistical methods (and their application to research in the clinical settings where delirium is most frequently encountered). The Boot Camp is all about junior researcher mentorship and engagement: program highlights include interactive didactic sessions on a broad range of topics, mock-NIH study sections, formal (and informal) networking and mentorship sessions…and some great Southern food!
Dates and Location of 2025 Boot Camp:
Rizzo Center, University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill
Sunday October 26-Monday October 28, 2025
Other things to note:
International (i.e. non-USA) applications are encouraged
Most mentee travel costs and all hotel/meal costs are covered by the program
While mentee research proposals must evaluate delirium as an outcome, this can be a secondary outcome (delirium does not necessarily have to be the sole focus of the project)
2025 Boot Camp proposals do not necessarily have to be focused on ADRD as an outcome

Questions related to the 2025 NIDUS Boot Camp should be directed to program director, Ms. Kristen Ruck at kristen_ruck@med.unc.edu.
