A Message from AGS Chief Executive Officer, Jennie Chin Hansen
July 27th, 2010
Dear AGS Members,
Since joining the AGS as its CEO in mid-April, I’ve discovered that our members frequently have news that we should share--and celebrate. I want to be certain that we highlight your achievements to your colleagues in the AGS community. Doing so is an excellent way to build our community, and to inspire new ideas, collaborations, and other efforts that benefit us all.
Please share your news with me so that we can publicize your accomplishments and developments (specific examples of news for the AGS membership includes promotions, new grant awards, research projects, appointments to national and state task forces, and new positions). While we bring you news on the policy and public front, we know you are at the forefront of geriatric care, research, or professional and public education. You are our champions in the advancement of care for older adults, especially those whose medical issues are complex. Do let us share your valuable work in our weekly newsletter, AGS Week in Review.
I look forward to hearing from you about your work, or in fact, or anything else you'd like to share with the staff and leadership of the Society. Please do not hesitate to email me at jhansen@americangeriatrics.org.
Regards,

Jennie Chin Hansen
Chief Executive Officer
American Geriatrics Society
